Christmas Eve 2010

As is our custom we spent Christmas in Utah this year.  We were not blessed with nice weather for our drive, but that made our arrival there even more sweet.  We also keep telling ourselves Makenna will travel easier as she gets older...right?

Christmas Eve was spent with my family.  Once again we made cookies and candy (well actually my brother, Brett, and mom did) and then took them to the local fire station for those men who have to work on the holiday. Unfortunately, those nearest my parents house decided not to be present or even notice we were knocking so we drove to the next closest one.  How nice they were!  We were able to give them the goodies and in return they showed us their fire truck, up close.  Maren even got to sit behind the wheel!

After our return from the fire house we enjoyed a scrumptious dinner that my mom prepared.  We then listened to the Nativity read by my Dad followed by a re-enactment from the little ones.  Lastly, we listened to a new Christmas story by my mom and then they opened Christmas PJ's.  I absolutely love the Christmas traditions in my family.
I love this picture!  It is so Tanner.  He loves his sweets!

My awesome grandparents with my Dad

I think this was taken right after.  Maren was the angel, Hayden a wiseman, and Tanner a shepherd.  Cousins Addy and Logan were Mary and Joseph, and Landon a wiseman? (a doll was baby Jesus)

All the cousins, minus baby Alyssa, in their new PJ's

Love the shot of all the kids in their PJs. We had such a fun time with you over Christmas.
