Summer Road Trip Part II

After spending the night in Rapid City, we headed to Yellowstone the next morning.  It was about 8 hours to the park.  We arrived in the late afternoon and needless to say we were happy to get out of the car!  We entered the west entrance, stopped next to the lake to stretch our legs.  We then made our way to the West Thumb area to walk around (where we got caught in a rainstorm and became drenched) followed by Old Faithful.  We ate dinner here and then called it a night.  The next day we did our best to see the rest of the park.  We saw countless geysers, pools, and steam pots.  We walked many boardwalks and trails.  Lunch was a fun stop at Mammoth Hot Springs eating at the local hotel there.  We saw bison, elk, deer, and a bear in the distance that day too.

We could see the rainstorm heading our way - but still got caught in it
