Fun with Parents

My parents flew out a few days before Makenna's blessing. It is always so fun to spend time with them. We were able to do a few new things with them this visit (surprisingly no zoo visit). We went to the Durham Western Heritage Museum - which is someplace I'd never been to either. It was awesome. The old train station is beautiful and there are different trains to see and get on - which my kids just loved. The other exhibits were interesting as well, including the history of Omaha. We ended the visit with some old fashioned phosphates at the soda shop. The next day we went to Vala's Pumpkin patch. It happened to be a Saturday and very busy, but we still enjoyed ourselves despite the crowds as well as the freezing temps! My kids love riding the bikes, eating kettle corn, bouncing on the pillows, going down the slide, and going through the maze.

Leave it to David Von Buxton to find Star Wars in a pumpkin patch.

I've always been curious about what phosphates would taste like. What a fun museum. Glad you had a nice time with mom and dad.
