Fourth of July

Dave is once again overseas, so my kids and I headed out to Utah for a nice long trip.  My dad was brave enough to help us drive to and from and I'm so grateful he did.  We got there on the second of July, just in time to celebrate the fourth with my family.  That morning began with my boys participating in my parents neighborhood parade.  Since we brought their scooters from home, we were able to decorate them all spiffy for the event.  The parade ends at a circle where a breakfast is held.  In the afternoon, we went to the Taylorsville pool for some fun swim time with my parents and my sister Amy and her family.  Hayden and Tanner are both little fish, swimming and jumping in constantly.  Makenna and Maren enjoyed the shallow end.  My sister, Jill, and her family hosted a BBQ that night which is always scrumptious...especially the homemade ice cream.  We usually end the day with fireworks at Riverton Park, but due to some conflict they didn't have any that night.  Instead, we went over to West Jordan's fireworks.  We had such a fun time waiting for it to get dark and then enjoyed watching the pretty fireworks.
