We had a very exciting birthday this week. Our baby girl turned one. She has been an extremely good baby, but there is still that satisfaction that we made it through the first year. We spent the day pretty normally, but after Hayden got home from Scouts in the evening, we were able to have cake and ice cream and of course open presents. She didn't quite master the opening of presents, but her sister was quick to join in and 'help'. Of all my kids, Makenna devoured her cake the most. She was a bit hesitant at first, but then dove in mouth first.
