Christmas Eve

After school got out for Hayden we headed out to Utah for Christmas. Even though it meant our third drive out to Utah since June (Yikes), we really didn't want to celebrate Christmas without our families. We had a glorious time seeing and spending time with family and celebrating the holidays. Christmas Eve was spent with my family this year. We ate the traditional Christmas Eve dinner (chicken cordon-bleu, sour cream potatoes, and layered Christmas jello), visited with my grandparents, played some games and then had the grandkids perform the nativity. It is so fun to see the excitement on my kids as they realize what is going to happen the next day.

The older boys got new robes that night, the girls got new PJ's.

The robes came in handy for the nativity - here everyone is (sad our angel is looking away)

We loved, loved, loved having you home for Christmas! I'm glad you made the drive. The kids looked so cute in their costumes.
