Utah Visit - Christmas

Once again, our family traveled to Utah for the holidays.  Really, did anyone ever doubt we wouldn't come?  We  always think it would be nice to stay at home for one Christmas, but as the holidays approach we quickly change our minds.  What a boring Christmas it would be if we didn't spend it with our families!

A day or so after we arrived - we made it to Temple Square where we met up with the Buxton's.

As if we weren't cold enough outside seeing the lights, we then headed over to Leatherby's for ice cream.  You won't ever hear me complain about that though, Leatherby's is my all-time favorite place to go for a treat.

On Christmas Eve we had dinner with my folks, siblings and families, and grandparents.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner, a family talent show, and then the nativity put on by the little ones.  The evening concluded with each grand kid getting new pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa.

Christmas morning, we had hoped to have all of our kids open their presents together.  In years past we have always opened them in shifts.  The boys first and then we would wake up the girls after they had slept in a bit more.  But Christmas Eve night, Makenna decided not to sleep well at all and was up for quite a while.  So once more, the boys got up early and opened presents followed by the girls later.
I LOVE Hayden's expression!
